Update: Again his surgery went well and he is still recovering. In fact he has grown quite comfortable in his hospital suite and may not leave till early to middle next week. **Cubs win, cubs win**

Well, behind the superb pitching of Paul Mancuso, the Cubs defeated the Cardinals from Thibodaux by the score of 7 - 0. Paul gave up 1 hit in the 3rd and then preceded to strike out 16, in 9 innings of baseball. Anthony Hebert got the only hit for the Cardinals. The Cubs were led by; Dan Newman 3 for 3, 1RBI, Billy Thompson 2 for 2, Phil Leblanc 1 for 3, 2RBI, and Steve Ceravolo 1 for 2, 1RBI. The Cubs scored 2 runs in the 1st and then 3 more runs in the 5th to build a commanding lead of 5 - 0. They then added 1 more in the 7th and 8th innings to make the final score 7 - 0.
