GET READY, GET SET, GO!!!!

That's right, our first game of the season in now set for Sunday March 7th. The new schedule is now posted. The Smack Forum has now been replaced by a Diamond Dreams facebook page. The button below will navigate you there but you must be a registered Facebook member(its free to sign up).

There were a few changes made but most important the fact that now a ballplayer that becomes 38 years old by December 31, is eligible to play in the league with No restrictions. So go out and sign up those ''youngsters''.

The Player Registration form can be downloaded by clicking here. Please get in touch with your manager to see when he will be setting up practices for the league opener.

There was talk about bringing back the Fall league, a wooden bat day during the year, and some tournaments on our off weekends this year.

CARDINALS WIN!, CARDINALS WIN!

In our championship game the Thibodaux Cardinals soundly defeated the Rattlers 18-0. The Cardinals pitchers, Brian Cavalier and Bart Benoit allowed only 4 hits and were backed up with outstanding defensive play. The offense was led by; James Mills 3 for 4, 1HR., 3RBI; John Anderson 1 for 2, 3RBI; Glen Tatum 2 for 4, 3RBI; Gwain Roundtree 2 for 4, 2RBI; and Bart Benoit 3 for 3. Brian Cavalier threw 7 shutout innings giving up only 3 hits to pick up the win. Bill Hornsberger was 1 for 2, 1Dbl. for the Rattlers. Tom Baer started for the Rattlers giving up 11 runs(only 6 earned) in the first 3 innings to pick up the lost.
